Trastevere - Rome

Accommodates 2 — 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath

Here is a cute, comfortable flat in one of Rome’s most characteristic neighborhoods, Trastevere.  We’re talking here the “other” side of the Tiber, a neighborhood full of local life, artisan shops, simple trattorie, plus all services including internet points.  You’re also very close to the Cestio Bridge which takes you quickly over to Campo dei Fiori, the Jewish quarter, and the Campidoglio.

The place is easy to describe.  From the street, you walk up one flight of stairs to the entrance to the flat which leads you directly into a roomy, sunny living/dining room, with some antique furniture and Italian-language TV.   The master bedroom has an indivisible matrimonial bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower only.   Kitchen has clothes washer but no dishwasher.  All windows in the flat face the street which is quiet.   Ceilings throughout have beautiful beams and floors are terracotta, and you really feel like you’re in a flat from another time.  The flat was furnished for its owners who now live outside Rome and only occasionally use it as a pied-a-terre.  It doesn’t feel at all like a rental.

If you want to experience the feel of a really authentic Roman neighborhood, yet not feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere, our Trastevere flat may be just what you’re looking for.
