Perched atop the roof of the
Villa La Fiorita (see listing),
and with its own private entrance from the street (80 steps),
lies the exquisite Piccola Fiorita. Essentially, it is a 2-story
cottage which can be rented separately or together with the
main house. The Piccola Fiorita was recently featured in Casa
Brava, one of Italy's most prestigious magazines covering
the fields of domestic architecture and interior decoration.
You step directly into the living/dining
room which gives out onto the kitchen. The kitchen has a washing
machine. A bathroom with shower lies on this level also. Upstairs
are two smallish, air-conditioned bedrooms, with an "under-the-eaves"
quality. One bedroom has a queen bed, the other two twins.
A second bathroom with shower is on this level.
Furnishings throughout the Piccola
Fiorita are comfortable and display the owner's excellent
taste, just as in the villa below, but on a much smaller scale.
Though there are more expensive
properties in Positano, Villa La Fiorita and the Piccola Fiorita
are in our opinion our best properties in that most delightful
of Italian resorts.
